How okji Protects Your Privacy
Six principles that guide every decision okji makes about your personal data.
Minimum Data Collection
okji only collects the data it actually needs. We don't ask for information that has no bearing on your account or the services you use on the Platform.
No Selling of Your Data
Your personal information is never sold to third-party marketers. Full stop. Data is shared only where necessary to deliver the services you've requested.
Bank-Grade Encryption
All data transmitted between your device and okji is protected by SSL/TLS encryption. Sensitive data at rest — including payment details — is stored using strong encryption standards.
Your Rights Under R.A. 10173
As a Filipino data subject, you have specific rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012. okji fully honours these rights and provides clear channels to exercise them.
Breach Notification
In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your information, okji will notify you and the National Privacy Commission (NPC) in accordance with applicable law.
Plain Language Policy
This Privacy Policy is written in clear, everyday English — not dense legal jargon. We want every okji member to actually understand what they're agreeing to.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how okji (okji.best) collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal information of its members and website visitors. It applies to all services offered through the okji Platform — including our website, mobile applications, and all betting and gaming products.
okji is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly. This Policy has been prepared in compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, as overseen by the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
By creating an account or using the okji Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described herein. If you do not agree, please do not register or use our services.
okji acts as the Personal Information Controller (PIC) for data collected through this Platform, as defined under R.A. 10173.

3. How We Collect Your Data
okji collects personal data through the following means:
Direct Collection
The majority of data we hold about you was provided by you directly — when you registered your account, completed identity verification, made a deposit, placed a bet, or contacted our support team. You are always in control of what you share with us during these interactions.
Automated Collection
When you use the okji Platform, certain technical data is collected automatically. This includes your IP address, the type of device and browser you're using, pages visited, session duration, and clickstream data. This information is used to maintain platform security, improve performance, and detect fraudulent activity.
Third-Party Sources
In limited cases, okji may receive data from third-party sources — for example, identity verification service providers, payment processors, or fraud detection agencies. Any data received from such parties is handled under the same standards described in this Policy.
4. How We Use Your Personal Data
okji processes your personal data for the following purposes, each with a corresponding lawful basis:

- Customer support: To respond to your enquiries, resolve disputes, and improve our support processes. (Contractual necessity / Legitimate interest)
- Marketing and promotions: To send you promotional offers and updates about okji, where you have opted in to receive these. You can withdraw this consent at any time. (Consent)
- Platform improvement: To analyse usage patterns and improve the design, features, and overall performance of the okji Platform. (Legitimate interest)
okji will never use your data for purposes beyond those listed here without first notifying you and, where required, obtaining your explicit consent.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
okji uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to provide a functional, secure, and personalised experience on the Platform. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website.
| Cookie Type | Purpose | Can You Opt Out? |
|---|---|---|
| Required for the Platform to function — login sessions, security tokens, bet slip management | No — necessary for service | |
| Helps okji understand how users navigate the Platform so we can improve it | Yes — via cookie settings | |
| Remembers your language, display settings, and other personalisation choices | Yes — via cookie settings |
You can manage or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the okji Platform, including your ability to log in or place bets.
7. Data Retention
okji retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law.
- Active account data: Retained for the duration of your account's existence on the Platform.
- Closed account data: After account closure, okji retains certain data (including transaction records and identity documents) for a minimum of five (5) years to comply with anti-money laundering and gaming regulation requirements.
- Marketing data: Retained until you withdraw consent, after which it is deleted or anonymised within 30 days.
- Technical/log data: Retained for up to 12 months for security and fraud prevention purposes.
Once the applicable retention period expires, your data is securely deleted or anonymised so that it can no longer be linked back to you.
8. Security Measures
okji takes the security of your personal data seriously. We implement a combination of technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.
- All data in transit is protected by TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption.
- Sensitive data at rest — including payment information and government ID scans — is stored using AES-256 encryption.
- Access to personal data within okji is restricted on a strict need-to-know basis, with role-based access controls applied across all internal systems.
- Regular security audits and penetration testing are conducted to identify and remediate potential vulnerabilities.
- Our systems are monitored 24/7 for suspicious activity, including automated fraud detection tools that flag unusual account behaviour in real time.
While okji takes every reasonable precaution, no online system is completely immune to security risks. You also play a role in keeping your account secure — always use a strong, unique password for your okji account, and never share your login credentials with anyone.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data held by okji. These rights can be exercised by contacting our Data Privacy Officer (DPO) at the details provided in Section 13.

Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold on your account.
Right to Erasure

10. Minors and Age Restriction
The okji Platform is strictly for persons aged 18 years and above. okji does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, that account will be immediately suspended and all associated data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention procedures.
If you believe a minor has registered on the okji Platform, please contact us immediately at support@okji.best so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Some of the third-party service providers used by okji — such as cloud infrastructure providers and fraud detection systems — may process or store data outside of the Philippines. Where such transfers occur, okji ensures that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your personal data at a standard equivalent to Philippine law requirements.
These safeguards may include contractual clauses requiring the recipient to apply comparable data protection standards, or reliance on the adequacy of the recipient country's data protection framework as recognised by the NPC.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
okji may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes — those that significantly affect how your data is used or your rights as a data subject — okji will notify registered members via email or through a prominent notice on the Platform at least 7 days before the changes take effect.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect when the Policy was most recently revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how okji protects your privacy.
